High Protein Foods I like Now

Something I need to get better at is giving my body more nutrients, especially protein.  Currently, here are my top 5 high protein snacks/meals:

5.  Fruit/yogurt parfait:  One cup plain greek yogurt, handful of blueberries, and strawberries, and a drizzle of honey.  (15 grams protein, on average)

4.  Beef Jerky:  Every package is different for amount of protein/etc, but usually a serving is about 10 grams of protein.  Eat more, and you get more protein.  Great salty snack.

3.  2 Eggs:  made any which way, about 14 grams of protein!

One meal from last week: salad with cottage cheese and 2 eggs: about 21 grams of protein

2.  Cottage Cheese and canned peaches:  Add a little of the juice and it tastes great.  One serving of cottage cheese adds about 10-15 grams of protein depending on type/brand.

1  Peanut butter and banana in oatmeal.  Very filling meal, and the PB adds 5-7 grams of protein.  You can add a scoop of protein powder to really bulk it up and add another 20-30 grams of protein.

I’m still learning about other ways to get my protein to keep it exciting.  I’ll re-post when I learn more on the topic 🙂
