I remember the very first time I put on glasses. I had ordered them the week before from the eye doctor. I was in 7th grade. My older sisters had glasses, so naturally I prayed for nights and nights that I too, would be blessed with poor eye sight.
The day came when I went into the room, and read letters on the board incorrectly, and then correctly after they adjusted the lens. It blew my mind! I didn’t even realize how bad my eye sight had gotten.
So there I was, placing my new glasses over my eyes for the first time. Mine were obviously JLo brand, with jewels on the side that sparkled just like my braces. I looked around, and oh. my. gosh. Things were so remarkably clear.
This is SOO cool I thought to myself- until I looked in the mirror. WHATT?? IS THIS MY FACE??? I had way more acne than I realized!! And it was red and blotchy! Nooo!
That isn’t me, but it was totally me, you know what I mean?
This is exactly what I think of when I zoom in on a picture now. It looks great- clear, nice background, good lighting. Then I zoom in, and Nooooo!!! Eyes are not in focus, it’s not sharp! Yikes!
My mentor told me to take the time and zoom in on the camera right in the middle of the shoot to make sure it’s clear. I didn’t do that, and now I see why I should have. Next time, I definitely will.
